The Workbench "BatchAssignment" command allows you to assign multiple sources to the same Node in a single command.

A permission in "AdminWrite" is necessary on the BtibService to be able to use this tool.

To do this:

  • Select several sources in Niagara (the source, not the InfoSource)
  • Right click and click Batch Assignment in the context menu
  • A window will open.

The window has 4 sections:

  • Aspect: Aspect selection
  • Operation: Select one of the following operations
    • Add: Adds the assignment to any existing option(s)

(warning) Note that there is no verification of the validity of the assignments you create. This command has fewer safeguards than the AssignmentView.

    • Replace: Replaces the existing assignment(s)
    • Remove: Removes the existing assignment(s)
  • Assignment: Selection of the Node to be assigned in the following two modes:
    • Hierarchy: selection of the Node in the hierarchy
    • List: selection of the Node in the list and then if several Nodes have the same display name, selection of the path. A text field allows you to filter what appears in the list.
  • Settings: Allows you to create InfoSources in the sources selected if they do not exist.

If the selected Aspect has its slot CreateHierarchy set to false in its AdvancedConfig, the Hierarchy won't be available in the Assignment section

In the example below, a filter has been applied on office A101 and it is the one in Building A that has been selected.

Click on ok to confirm.
