Description

The Ticket service is a core component of the LinksperTicket module. It ensures correct module behavior and provides the underlying data structure for ticket definitions.

This module requires the "activeTicketing" feature to be enabled, along with sufficient active credits.

The license check will be performed in two steps:

At component startup, the presence of the required feature will be verified.
At steady state, the system will check for sufficient active credits.

Be aware: your service may initially display an {ok} status at startup but quickly transition to a {fault} if the credit verification fails.

Implementation

First, drag and drop the BtibService . While it's not mandatory—you’ll still be able to see TicketSpace and access tql and ticket schemes—many functionalities rely on BtibService, so its inclusion is strongly recommended.
Drag and drop the component into the /Services directory of the station.

Actions

CheckStatus: Checks the licence and runs all the Tests in the Service’s and Templates's Troubleshoot Components.

Properties

Status: Indicates the status of the service. Especially in the case of a fault or if it is disabled.
FaultCause: Indicates the fault reason, (often, it is that the license is not active or an error from the Troubleshoot).
Enabled: Enables or disables the service.
TroubleShoot: Ensures correct module behavior
TicketTemplates: Template Container. Each template defines the structural blueprint for your tickets.

Certain faults require a station reboot after resolving the underlying issue. These include:

Missing license
Database communication failure
Ticket Space initialization error

Fault Causes:

Error Message	Details	TroubleShoot
Missing BtibService	The BtibService is not present in the Services.	Add it from the palette to the Services.
Disabled BtibService	The BtibService is present but is not enabled.	Enable your BtibService.
Found no valid ‘activeTicketing' license	The system could not detect a valid activeTicketing feature.	In “station:\|slot:/Services/PlatformServices/LicenseService” check that your Btib.licence contains the “activeTicketing” feature and check that it’s not expired. Also check that the Btib.certificate is present. Cannot be recovered until the service is restarted.
Error while creating the TicketSpace	The TicketService couldn’t create the TicketSpace.	This FaultCause will have an additional message to explain how to troubleshoot the error. Cannot be recovered until the service is restarted.
Error while creating the TicketDatabase	The TicketService couldn’t create the TicketSpace.	This FaultCause will have an additional message to explain how to troubleshoot the error. Cannot be recovered until the service is restarted.
