Description
By default, tickets contain a single internal ID to differentiate them within a station. However, you may use other issue tracking systems and store external IDs.
The ExternalIdSlotDefinition component allows you to create a custom ExternalId slot in Tickets. See Ticket synchronization | ExternalIdSlotDefinition for more information.
The ExternalId will be used in internal processes such as

updates on existing Tickets during imports.
